At the beginning we were looking for a country house not too far from Paris (Max 2.30 hours by car from the center of Paris), on the road for the mountains and for the French Riviera.

The first time we arrived from Paris on A6 ‘’Autoroute Du Soleil’’(exit 20 Tonnerre Chablis), we found ourselves in the middle of the vineyards, it was October and we realized that we were in Chablis.

It took 35 minutes to arrive at the destination, the road was charming, when the vendor opened the gate it was love at first sight... But there was a lot of work to do.

The vendor told us ‘’there is a TGV station at 15 minutes form here Paris is at just 1H’’, there is also a guests house you can open as a ‘’Chambre d’hôtes’’. I told him that it was not the plan… it was just for us, family and friends.

After 3 years and a lot of restorations (we still have things to do) we fell in love with the region, it's wines, restaurants, and castles…  At the end, as the vendor suggested, we decided to open our house to others hoping to make them discover this wonderful region.

 

When you come and reserve a '’Chambre d’hôtes’’ keep in mind that we are no professional and that it is not an hotel, we are just normal people that open their door for a few days a year, but we will do our best to make you feel at home and welcomed!

Ah! One last thing, Clementina is our daughter, it is for her that I have done all of this... So I've decided that it was right to name our Chambre d’hôtes ''Chez Clementina''.
